No mood to post recently. Either depressed or about to be depressed by the return of the common test marks which will probably be disgustingly horrible.

Came online to do Home Ec research on eggless cakes and I AM SO HUNGRY RIGHT NOW JUST STARING AT THE PRETTY PICTURES OF CONFECTIONERY.
I wantttt.
I don't even have any lollipops to satisfy me. Gah.

A certain friend's been pretty distant lately. Don't know what's up but she seems to be hanging out more with a couple of people she doesn't normally hang out with. Kind of strange but whatever. We're still tight.

We had CCA Appreciation day rehearsal today and Huiwen, Lemuel and I were crapping and laughing so much it should have been a crime. Lemuel kept telling all sorts of lame jokes and asking random IQ questions which Huiwen and I kept on busting. We talked about stuff like 'Which Candy Would I Be' and palm reading and loads of other equally obscure things that I have forgotten but enjoyed chatting about.

Bleh, off to mug.

Screw you, Dean.
Just because you believe that the seniors didn't pick you for Exco because you were in NT, that's no reason to think that Council is corrupted. Exhibit A: Joshua. Though Joshua's in NA, he IS in Art Club Exco. See, the uppers don't care which stream you're in. All they want to see is leadership.

When you talk to people, we don't fixate on the fact that you're not in Express. Rather, in your case, we have a problem with the way you talk and act.
People who say one's voice and mannerisms don't count when making an impression on others are either lying or naive. Face it, that nasally low voice and perpetual grimace of your's don't exactly get you brownie points. Your clingy, self-righteous personality doesn't do much good either.

Yeah, we appreciate your dedicated service but the fact of the matter is that you weren't chosen because you don't have a lot of leadership compared to the others in Council.
People don't naturally follow you the way they do some people.

SO STOP TALKING TO ME ABOUT IT. AND STOP FOLLOWING ME.

Eurgh. Graffiti pictures to come once Lemuel uploads them to FB.

Why does the dumb graffiti competition have to take place on sunday? I was actually looking forward to finally going back to catechism.

I hate having to feel so paranoid whenever I'm talking to a certain someone. It's like, I have to be on the watch for anyone impersonating him whenever we text, which is pretty annoying, really. Why can't I take everything that certain someone says at face value and not have to second-guess whether it's certain someone's friends I'm talking to, rather than him?

As cliched as it sounds, whenever that guy and I text, it feels a little bit like I'm letting my guard down ((though that phrase begs the question: is my guard really up when I talk to people?)). I don't know whether he feels the same but that's how I feel. I guess that's why people get really heartbroken when they break up. You let those walls crumble when you're with that special someone and by breaking up, it's as if that person didn't care much for being let into a place few go - your heart.

Ugh, I sound so emo.

Eh. How does one start an informative essay so as to NOT put the reader in a coma? The topic my group got was 'Ways to a Healthy Lifestyle'. Can you spell 'boring'? Granted, it's a lot easier than 'Shops should be open 24 hours a day.' Yikes.

I wonder how detailed we have to memorize the countries in Asia. There are like, three dozen. Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Russia, Indonesia, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, Laos, Tibet, Thailand, Vietnam, the Phillipines and Myanmar just to name those off the top of my head. Goodness.

Continents are a lot easier. Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Asia, N & S America, Europe.
Low BR + Low DR = Low PG ; High BR + Low DR = High PG. Low BR = fewer marriages, later marriages, pref. for smaller families ; High BR = pref. for sons, lack of family planning, support from children in work ; Low DR = Better Med services, Hygenic conditions. LDCs = High PG, DCs = Low PG.

Can you tell I've been mugging madly for Geog?

I'M WATCHING HBP TODAY! OMG YAY! DANIEL RADCLIFFE GOODNESS. Haha, I can't wait.

So like, a random thing popped into my head today. I was at NTUC's Unity with my mum and I was just browsing while mum picked out vitamins and stuff. When I got to the mosquito/insect repellent shelf, do you know what I found at the bottom of the display? That 'con' with the 'dom' suffix. ((Anyone remember the english lesson where some guy in class said that word when Ms G was asking for words with 'dom' suffixes? Major LMAO.))

I think it's hysterical that those little Pandora boxes are next to the insect repellent packages. Like seriously. Is it so taboo that they have to put it there? Are Singaporeans really so 'paiseh' or embarrassed about such stuff that contraceptives need to be put in an unassuming place so that people don't need to see them buying such stuff?

Or maybe it's because the government is trying for more babies so by putting it in such an elusive place?
'Ooh, I wanna have --- but where is it? It's definitely not near the mosquito patches. Hm. I can't ask the sales assistant, she'll think I'm disgusting. Ah, screw it.'

So this is what we pay our government top dollar for.

I had this wonderful idea for a story when I was walking home from school today. What if there was a forest, a dense, dark forest, haunted by hanged men? What if they were left on those trees for so long, their very being, molded itself to the tree, inhabiting it till the sun goes down and then - the trees walk.

I wish i could fit this into a story. -sigh-

Monday, 6 July 2009 @ 22:27

I had a weird dream.

It involved me flashing someone because I was stuck in the labyrinth that is Serangoon Garden and I needed to find a way out since I had tuition but then I ended up in Toa Payoh MRT during peak hour and I got on the wrong platform, one with the heads of trains looking like neoprint booths. I eventually got home but then I was wearing my swimming costume and a swim/bath robe-thing and I was on an old-fashioned sort of carriage with my friends and we were touring some strange land and then a certain guy and I were talking and then - I woke up.

I wonder what my subconscious is trying to tell me.

Today's Dad's 50th. I ought to, I don't know, make him a pretty card or something. I won't though. Every time I make a card for him, he gives it back to me. Like, every year. Honestly. I've given up already.

I'm almost regretting applying for Lectors. I don't want to go for their 1pm meeting! Janet, can I tag along to your Legion of Mary meetings?!

Eh. Will continue later. Bye.

Dreams are another way of talking to yourself.

So like, what happened?
Sunday, 5 July 2009 @ 11:30

Today's Dad's 50th. I ought to, I don't know, make him a pretty card or something. I won't though. Every time I make a card for him, he gives it back to me. Like, every year. Honestly. I've given up already.

I'm almost regretting applying for Lectors. I don't want to go for their 1pm meeting! Janet, can I tag along to your Legion of Mary meetings?!

Eh. Will continue later. Bye.

Heaven-sent.
