I feel like I'm stuck on some island, Robinson Crusoe-style. Except, Robinson Crusoe probably had more fun battling cannibals and teaching Friday the Queen Mother's language than I'm having watching DOMINO and ATLANTIS on youtube.
-sigh-
It's like, everyone's either away at camp or they're simply vacationing in some other galaxy a billion million miles away, completely unaware that they - probably - have text messages from me that need to be replied to.
This week is gonna be so boring.
Tuition is starting up again and I don't want to go because it means having to listen to my teacher going "I told you so" when she sees my exam results. And the only remotely fun thing which'll be happening is the R&J filming on Tuesday.
Bleh.
Nigel says he is going to spend his holiday alternating between sleeping and playing soccer because he doesn't want to work at Mcdonald's or start studying. I plan to complete everything by this week and then stuff in all into file so I don't lose anything. By God, I'll do it.
Picked up many of my old favourite fiction series' over these few days; Lemony Snicket was one of them and I think Olaf/Kit is kinda cute. Harry Potter's Draco/Hermione, Rose/Scorpius & Harry/Hermione has pretty interesting fanfiction online so I've gone and read those too. Tried stomaching Frank Beddor's Looking Glass Wars but it's hard when you know the sequel to the book is utter crap so it's a lot like wasting your time. Finally got round' to finishing Shopaholic and Baby but Chick Lit is a lot like having ice-cream for dinner. It's sweet and naughty but it doesn't really fill you up.
Just give me my science fiction already.
By the way, Terminator Salvation was totally not worth the amount we paid for tickets and popcorn. Seriously. Though you've got Christian Bale a.k.a The Dark Knight acting as John Connor, he shouts too much and he does not make up for a weird, anti-climactic story and a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger running around for no reason at all. The poor editing was another thing which bugged me all-throughout the film since there were instances where it felt like there were missing scenes and they just jumped from Point A to Point C without showing you Point B.
God.
I miss everyone so damn much these days. It's a bit like no one cares I exist anymore and although my logical side is telling me that lots of people are either at camp or away in like, Mongolia or something, the feelings of abandonment are still running through my body, making me all depressed and desperate. Wish I was more positive and understanding and un-possessive but there you go - me on a silver platter, raw and real.
I might be a bit teary right now, I might not. Whatever the case, I'm being a first-class idiot and I really should get a life.
250th post! But I don't really think it's accurate since I have some posts that are drafts and well... I'm too lazy to count whether the drafts are part of the 'score' or not.
Anyway, today was the last day of Semester 1! WOOTS! : D
No one was having lessons at all since there was CCA photo-taking. I actually SAW Mr CH just stoning at his computer watching a video while the rest of the class was chatting with one another. I myself wasn't in class till the very last period since HuiYing and I were supposed to be touching up our Autodesk entries.
I'm so jealous of Emily & Desmond's car :/ It's a TANK!
It looks ezackly like Batman's Tumbler cept' it's longer and has this damn cool plating along the sides. And KengYin & YaoLe's car is funny! It's a literal Bow and Arrow XD
Darn cool.
Right, we went back to class for the last period and we got back our report books. Congrats to QIANYI for top in class (: Andrea got second! Haha, you guys totally deserve it. ((I'm trying not to be bitter that I'm sixth :3 Is it working?))
Kinda mixed in emotions for my 27th position in level. On the positive side, I'm in the top 15%. On the down side, I've deproved since last year. But then again, maybe everyone has improved and I'm just standing stationary. In any case, I'm 0.8% from an A1 for the overall percentage and that's what really gets me D<
Mr THM writes longer remarks than Mrs H from last year. I like the "excellent public speaking skills" bit but that's only there cause' Mr THM doesn't know me well enough to comment on anything else XD Rofl.
After the last period, we had a class party in the canteen : D There was popcorn (salty! just the way I like it ;D), potato chips, coloured jelly, soft drinks and pizza. It was really good. Thanks to those who brought the food!
Went to the ISH to play captains' ball after that. Mr THM was really 'extra' and I think he looked a bit like one of em' guys from Band with the white tee and black slacks. By the way, did I mention how 'handsome' JieYu looked in his CCA uniform? ROFLMAO XD I was practically shrieking with laughter when I came back from the toilet and saw him.
Had a 'whale of a time' (who uses these kinds of phrases now?) during the games and got really disgusting and sweaty and pink-cheeked (because this is a better word than RED). I think I was more grossed out than anyone else at my own appearance. Seriously, sometimes I think God gave me my last name for a reason.
Arrived home at 5-ish and I've been watching Harry Potter ever since. Movie marathon, man!
Let the June Holidays commence (:

Miss you, guy friend. Hurry up and reply to my texts!
I am sick. Unbelievably, disgustingly sick. Yet I refuse to not go to school tomorrow. I don't want to end up as just a "Not in picture: Kimberly ... .. .." at the bottom of the name list.
So I shall endure the hacking and the sneezing and the snot dripping down my nose when my hands aren't fast enough. Let there be a statue erected in my honour.

Guy friend won't reply to my messages and he practically ran away from me on Sunday. I don't know what's up with him. Maybe he's just reallyreallyreally busy. ((I know you read my blog, you better comment on this post.))
Dad just left town, he promises to bring back Lindsor/Lindt chocolates. That almost makes up for me not being able to hug him [because we don't want him to catch my flu and detain the whole plane in case of anything]
Hossan Leong is the man. He is a genius and we sing tributes to him during class time. JiaYi even wrote down the whole of We Live In Singapura. Perfect for reading during English.
By the way, you owe me a blog-thank you for the foolscap, JiaYi. And because you didn't end up asking Ms L what was the meaning of "ejaculation" during her lesson, here you go.
Main Entry: ejac·u·la·tion Pronunciation: \i-ˌja-kyə-ˈlā-shən\ Function: noun Date: 1603 1: an act of ejaculating ; specifically : a sudden discharging of a fluid from a duct 2: something ejaculated ; especially : a short sudden emotional utterance
So hardcore, I sprained my ankle(s) [thus, I am currently limping and both my legs hurt like you wouldn't believe]. But the Ice & Water was beyond fun so - no regrets (:
In case you don't know, we had our Sports Carnival yesterday. It basically consisted of us councillors dragging ourselves to school at 6.40 am and then walking to NYJC at 7 as a big group to start our duties.
PA Duty was dumb. Really. We just walked around with an annoying loudhailer [we had to share 1 between the three of us and the battery hatch wouldn't close properly] making the weirdest announcements like "STUDENTS, YOU ARE REMINDED TO PICK UP ALL THE LITTER YOU SEE AROUND YOU EVEN IF IT ISN'T YOUR'S" and "MR CHONG WON'T LET YOU GO BACK TILL THE AREA IS CLEAN" and "FRISBEE COMPETITORS, PLEASE MEET MS LIM ON THE FIELD NOW".
And Ms TB kept on screaming at us her displeasure with our inefficiency, lack of initiative, disorganisation blahdeblahblah.
XP
But other than that, we had such a great time. We won 1st for the 4 x 100m relay (girls') and either 1st or 2nd for the boys' one. Yay :D The E1 umbrella tent was funny! Imagine about five to seven umbrellas forming a strange dome-like structure to shield about 10 girls from the furious rays of 9 am-sunlight. We TOTALLY should have taken a picture. -pouts-
After the Sports Carnival, most of 2E1 went back to the ISH to play some more sports. There was badminton, captains' ball, Hand Squash and Ice & Water.
Ice & Water was awesome. The girls were the catchers and we were like, herding the boys into each other's clutches to be caught, almost like cheetahs or something. Audrey was so cool - every time she caught a boy, she'd drag him back like some cop or something to our 'holding cell', guarded by FangYuan.
Like I said, it was awesome.
We had a quick lunch at the adjacent coffee shop and I had FRIES (: Haven't had any in the longest time. When we got back to school, the girls went off for their respective CCAs [GG for YanLing & JiaYi and Infocomm for Rachael] while I headed to the showers to bathe. Actually, I really wanted to try showering in the ISH showers since those stalls were a lot nicer and more private but nevermind - what mattered was that I was clean.
So, Prize Giving was next. Got the blazers from the Council Room, put on our Court Shoes [which hurt like HELL with my sprained ankle] and started the dry run till 3.50-ish. I guess it went fine but after the ceremony, my mum said that I was speaking too fast. I don't think so but whatever; I'm just glad the craziness is over now.
I would have posted everything yesterday but I was so exhausted that I fell asleep at 8.30 pm.
So, we spent the entirety of today sitting on our rumps in the hall checking our MYE scripts and it was fairly entertaining.
Sitting in between JiaYi and Audrey is loads of fun. We sang Disney songs all throughout the day :D And when we exhausted our knowledge of Disney songs, we moved on to teletubbies, then Sesame Street and then, um - I can't quite remember.
It was immensely cool how all of us were so helium-hiiiiigh during the script-checking. There was no awkardness whatsoever. Definitely a time we could look back on and smile at.
Alright, I've been beating around the bush. Guess you guys want to know how I did. In all honesty, I know I could have done better. Like seriously. But nevermind, "no use in crying over spilt milk", right? It's all uphill from here.
EL: 45/60 (P1), 40/50 (P2), 37/40 (Oral) CL: - shan't say, very embarrassing but at least I passed. - MM: 88/100! :D Best score so far, surprisingly. SC: 76/100 HS: 66/100; horrid is the only way to describe it. I wish I hadn't listened to Mr E and only zero'ed in on one point for the short answer questions. SO NOT TAKING IT NEXT YEAR. Lit: 60/75 = 80%! Very happy (: I'm loving my 24/25 score for the Dally question.
Well, that's about it.
((I foresee a friday in which I completely lose my voice. Blame being on PA duty for the sports carnival and then emceeing the 2-3 hours of Prize Giving after that.))

All I really want to do is to sit down and consume a neverending plateful of waffles. Really.
Actually, that sounds like a great plot for a story.
Girl finds magic plate which has an unending supply of waffles, all of which are delicious and fluffy. She eats and eats and eats, her tongue eventually numbs itself to all other tastes other than that of waffles. The girl balloons but she can't stop. It's too good. Finally, she dies. Death by waffles.
ROFL.
Danny finally got the boot from AI and I am very happy. He was so... bland. Like a Taylor Hicks Junior. Still quite sore from Allison's leaving but she'll probably do a 'Daughtry' and be totally famous out of the AI Spotlight.
Changed the music player at last, I was so tired of listening to Aly and AJ. They're pop princesses - you can only tolerate so much of them. I like Chad Kroeger and Santana, they're coolio.
MYEs are all screwed, I'm waving goodbye to even getting into the top 15 for E1. Like seriously. No confidence at all in any of my papers, not even English. Ms TY said on Facebook that she wanted to vomit blood when she was marking our Bio scripts and I can't blame her. I know that if I get anything more than 70, it's a miracle. Seriously.
Apparently, according to a personality test, I'm an ENTJ. But I'm not putting much stock into it since I've been just about every kind of personality type before and anyway, we've all got our moments when we suffer from 'schizophrenia' ((i.e The Mysterious Case of Tic-Tac-Toe between ShaoWei and ShaoWei)).
Going out for dinner with Mum and Cor afterwards. We'll be having Italian :D Crab Fettuccine! I swear, if I had to live on only one style of cooking, it'd be Italian. Pizza, Gelato, Pasta, Lasagna - what more could you want?!
Gonna catch Star Trek on Saturday and then some other movie with the girls on Tuesday. Gotta finish the Autodesk, Trexi and Arte(factually) Speaking entries by Wednesday. Emceeing the Prize Giving with Joice(hopefully) on Friday, rehearsals likely all-throughout the week.
And we've got that dumb Dengue/Recycling CIP next Saturday! The Shakespeare workshop's on the 28th or something and HY, YL and I are down for some D&T exhibition/workshop on the 27th.
Talk about post-exam activities.
Right, off to watch reruns of Heroes, catch ya later.
Mood: Something that includes sighing but is actually quite content. Music: All At Once - The Fray
((Mostly)) overdue photos I found in my camera. Um, the AA team and the twosome, Shannon and JiaYi. Inseparable, yo'.
You can see my D&T project with Elf - it's the yellow traffic light cat picture. [You can't tell it's a traffic light, the 'stand' wasn't in the photo.] The road has its zebra crossing, we have our Cat Crossing. CC! Lol. I think I am slowly murdering my own brain cells with my idiocy... XD
Okay, two photos of our R5 class hoodie. Very cool, I would wear it every day if it wasn't for the fact that THE WEATHER IS FRIGGIN' HOT. It's a -insert adjectival cuss word here- furnace in the morning, fridays especially since we - and by that, I mean councillors - need to wear our P.E get-up under our regular uniforms. And we have to wear ties! KY was like, "Wah, you're wearing your P.E underneath - isn't it hot?" and I replied, "VERY!"
I was sweating like a pig but I hope no one makes a comparison or they'll start calling me Swine Flu like what my class dubbed KS after he got a fever and had two days' MC during the Advanced Exams. Poor guy. ((But in all honesty, I want to strangle him for not ensuring he knew how many rounds the 2.4km re-takers had already run and making HuiYing cry. Hurumph.))
Back to the hoodie. I think it's awesome and all thanks to JIAHCHING! Wo0ts!
She is teh awesomeness.
Can't wait to wear the hoodie out!
To JiaYi: You are the craziest and most random girl ever, kiddo ;D Relinked cha'!
I think the best thing ever is to know that someone you enjoy being with enjoys your company too. Screw declarations of whatever, it's the little things that count (:
Four papers down. I am slacking and I feel ashamed. But it's okay, I'll go and start studying the moment this post is up.
Lots of things are running through my mind now.
I remember YanLing (or was it Rachael?) once randomly telling me that her mind was very messy. I remarked that everyone's mind is messy, no one has an organized train of thought, not really. That would be like having a brain which is compartmentalized with little plastic dividers and labels telling you what's where.
I don't know about you, but the stuff crammed in my head is a lot like an abstract action painting, with colours running and crossing each other and having no sense of directionality though it does make a pretty picture. I think that's the problem with journal-writing be it on a blog or a little notebook. You're just letting out a stream of words which only make sense to you, jumping from Point A to Point W without any stops in-between.
Okay, rant over now.
Um, two things I noticed recently.
One, guys go for anything with a ((relatively)) short skirt. Like seriously, anything. I was having lunch with my family on Sunday and I wore this greenish-gray skirt which went up to about an inch from my knee and I saw this guy STARING at me. And his friends were looking over too! -insert gagging face here-
I'm pretty sure there wasn't anything wrong with my appearance but it was unnerving and absolutely hilarious. I wanted to laugh but my parents would just have given me a weird look. But at that moment, I suddenly had this moment of clarity - Guys will go for anything in a short skirt, even if you have acne and not-quite-Posh Spice-legs.
Number Two, NEVER EVER PUT BREAD WHICH HAS BEEN IN A TUPPERWARE FOR 4 DAYS INTO SOUP WHICH IS ALREADY AWFUL. Your bread will taste like Tupperware and your meal will be totally ruined. Trust me, I should know. It was the worst thing I ever tasted.
