Goal!
Thursday, 27 November 2008 @ 23:49

Okay, so I totally felt like posting and posting and... POSTING! today and this is my second time writing here. I suddenly remembered that I made New Year Resolutions last year. I think I did pretty good (:

Do well for all my 2008 exams/tests. Especially my Sec 1 mid-terms and end-of-year exams.
Become 40-44 kg.
Be at least 165cm by Dec 08. [totally IMPOSSIBLE XD]
Keep in touch with HS, SH, C, Z, J & everyone else (:
Win at least ONE art competition. Does getting art pieces into an art gallery count?
Make new friends at ZHSS & NAFA. I DID! Rawkers like Sarah, Cheryl, HuiYing, YanLing and lotsa other people!
Be more bi-lingual and well-spoken.
Try not to forget him. Didn't and probably won't ever.
Read at least 100 books [EL and/or CL]
Become prettier & have a higher self-esteem [again, totally impossible.] Mm, my skin seems to be improving. I use that term loosely.
Get rid of braces by mid-year. On Retainers now!
Achieve either an Edusave award or scholarship by Dec 08. Top 10%, baby :D
Learn Latin. Does quoting latin phrases count? XD

Yay me C:

Skinnies.

Here's a shoutout to Sarah, my most loyal blog commenter and fellow artist: MAJOR APOLOGY FOR NOT COMMENTING/TAGGING YOU. For some unknown reason, my Internets (Firefox & Explorer) aren't showing me anything on your blog other than the lyrics to Underclass Hero and the Sum 41 picture. So yeah D:

Right, I'm kinda thinking of shifting the date of the class outing to the Thursday of the original day since a few people won't be able to make it if it's on the first. Will take it up with Clarine either today or tomorrow. Took it up and it's still on the first. There goes my chances of seeing Huisi battle DuckKing. -sigh- People would actually pay money for that.... SHHHH! Don't tell her I said that ;D

Quick Quiz
Tuesday, 25 November 2008 @ 11:50

Got this in an email from Jiahching. Quite interesting (: My answers are underlined or in italics.

Take a piece of paper and write down the answers.. The analysis is in the end...

Situation:

You are in a deep deep forest... as you walk on you saw an old hut standing there...
(1) What is the status of the door? (Opened/closed)
(2) You enter the hut and see a table... What is the shape of the table? (Round/Oval/Square/Rectangle/Triangle)
(3) On top of the table there is a vase... in the vase there is water. How much water is it filled up with? (Full/Half/Empty)
(4)And what is the vase made of? (Glass/porcelain/clay) (metal/plastic/wood)
(5) You walk out of the hut... as you carry on your walk in the forest... you see a waterfall from far... there is water running down...
What is the speed of the water? (Choose a number ranging from 0 to 10) [8]
(6) Some time after the waterfall... you step on something hard on the ground... as you look down... you see glistening gold in colour. You bend down and pick it up... it is a keychain chained with keys...
How many key /keys you see hanging on the keychain? (Choose a number ranging from 1 to 10) [3]
(7) You walk on and on... trying to find your way out...suddenly you see a castle.
What is the condition of the castle? (Old/new)
(8) You enter the castle and saw a pool of murky water with shining jewels floating on it...Will you pick up the jewel? (YES/NO)
(9) Next to the murky pool... there’s another pool... with clear water and money floating on it...
Will you pick the money? (YES/NO)
(10) Walking to the end of the castle there is an exit...you proceed to walk out of the castle. Outside the exit, there is big garden, you see a box on the ground.
What is the size of the box? (small/medium/big)
(11) What is the material of the box? (cardboard/paper/wooden/metal)
(12) There is a bridge in the garden some distance away from the box, What is the bridge made of?
(metal/wooden/rattan)
(13) Across the bridge, there is a horse. What is the colour of the horse? (white/grey/brown/black)
(14) What is the horse doing? (still and quiet/nibbling grass/running about)
(15) OH NO!!! There is a tornado coming... some distance from the horse. You have 3 options:
(i) run and hide in the box?
(ii) run and hide under the bridge?
(iii) run to the horse, ride on and gallop away?

Here are the interpretations:
(1) The door:
opened door - you are a person who is willing to share
closed door - you are a person who is keeping things to yourself
(2) The table:
Round/oval - any friends that came along, you will accept and trust them completely
Square/rectangle - you are a bit more choosy on friends and only hang out with those whom you think are on the same frequency
Triangle - you are really very very picky about friends and there are not many friends in your life.
(3) Water in vase:
Empty - your life is not fulfilled
Half filled - what you want in your life is half fullfilled
Full - your life is completely fulfilled and good for you! :)
(4) Material of vase:
glass/clay/porcelain - you are weak in your life and tends to be fragile [WHAT??!!! This is so wrong.]
metal/plastic/wood - you are strong in your life
(5) Flow of waterfall:
0 - no sex drive at all
1 to 4 - low sex drive
5 - average sex drive
6 to 9 - high sex drive [LOL! XD]
10 - gone case!!! super high sex drive!!! Can’t live without sex...
(6) Keys:
1 - you have one good friend in your life
2 to 5 - you have a few good friends in your life
6 to 10 - you have a lot good friends
(7) Castle:
Old - shows that your last relationship is not a good one and is not memorable to you.
New - your last relationship is good and it’s still fresh in your heart.
(8) The jewel from the murky pool water:
YES - when your partner is around you, you will flirt around with others. [Not quite sure whether this is true or not... I don't have a partner, only a crush x3]
NO - when your partner is around, you will stick around with him/her most of the time.
(9) The money from the clear water pool:
YES - when your partner is not around you, you will still flirt around with others.
NO - even when your partner is not around, you will still think of her and and will be loyal to him/her, not flirting around with others. [HAHA, I think this is quite correct.]
(10) The size of the box:
small - low ego
medium - average ego
big - high ego [Awww.... tis' somewhat true.]
(11) Material of the box (outlook of the box):
cardboard/paper/wooden(non-shining) – humble personality
metal - proud and stuck up personality
(12) The material of the bridge:
metal bridge - have very strong bond with your friends
wooden bridge - average bond with your friends
rattan bridge - you are not in good terms with your friends
(13) Colour of the horse:
white - your partner is pure and good in your heart.
grey/brown - your partner is only average in your heart.
black - your partner doesn’t seem to be good in your heart and appears to be bad sign.
(14) Horse action:
still and quiet/nibbling grass - your partner is a very homely and humble person.
running about - your partner is a wild type person
(15) This the last but most important part of the test.
From how I ended the story... a tornado approaches...
What are you going do? There are only 3 options:
(i) run and hide in the box?
(ii) run and hide under the bridge?
(iii) run to the horse, ride on and gallop away?
What will you choose?
Now, the above is signified by these things:
tornado - problems in your life
box - you
bridge - your friends
horse - your partner
(i) So if you choose the box, you keep your problems to yourself whenever you are met with problems.
(ii) or if you choose the bridge, you will go to your friends whenever you are met with problems.
(iii) or lastly if you choose the horse, you seek your partner whenever your partner whenever you are met
with problems.

Had tons of fun shivering fats off today at Mt. Fuji. It was a really clear day too so we had nice pictures with all of us with our hair everywhere. All right, I admit that it was mainly just me XD. But anyway, we were joking a lot and I have to say that this was much more fun than any Tokyo Disneyland, despite the fact that the temperature was like, -5 degrees Celsius.

Before visiting Mt. Fuji, we paid a visit to Hell's Valley, this place famous for its sulphur-induced black eggs which supposedly, extends your life by seven years per egg eaten. The awful part of that is that the place itself smells like rotten eggs which pretty much take away four years of your life just by the smell. The weather was super cold there too even though it was technically slightly warmer than at the fifth station of Mt. Fuji. The comparative coldness was probably the blasts of freezing wind though so it's not very accurate.

And I just realised that the eighties music they're playing here in the lobby is good for games. Earned 30k in 30 mins! -squee-

Anyway, the next update might be either in Osaka or Singapore so till' then, Sayonara (:

[And I expect loads of comments or you won't get a christmas card/presents from me >.<]

P.S JAP PEOPLE ARE SUPER NICE! WE ASKED THIS GUY FOR DIRECTIONS IN THE SUBWAYS AND HE EVEN WALKED OUT TO SHOW US HOW TO GET THERE!

I threw up on the plane. Yes, I am still quite the kid when it comes to flying for long periods of time (I deem more than 45 minutes 'long'). But what was really funny was that I threw up after the plane landed, not during the flight.

Oh well. At least I didn't make much of a mess X3

Sitting aboard the A380 wasn't too bad; the seats were quite a bit bigger and the toilet was lovely but the food's still horrendous. That was the main reason why I decided to spontaneously regurgitate mushy pancakes. Eeeeew.

BUT! THEY WERE SHOWING THE DARK KNIGHT, BATMAN BEGINS, IRONMAN AND A WHOLE LOT MORE SO ITZ ALL GOOODDD :D ((Take that, alphonsus! XP))

So far, I still don't see why almost everyone I know thinks visiting Japan's a dream come true. Sure, it feels like San Francisco, Singapore and China plussed together but other than that, the prices are crazy. Dumb economic recession.

Mmm, Dad says we might be visiting DisneySea tomorrow while my mum and aunts and grandma go off to spend money at various factory outlets and malls such as Coach and Burberry, etcetera. -le sigh- Wish Niggle was here though. As much as Nigel can be a pain in the butt sometimes, he's better fun than my brother and father. No offence intended. But yeah.

In a couple of hours' time - five, to be exact -, I will be on my way to the Airport and... Japannnn.

Strangely enough, even though just about everyone I know says it's a great country and they'd love to go, blahblahblah, I really would much prefer America any time, despite the fact that to this day, I've visited Disneyland like, nine times x.x I just.. hate the language barrier, y'know? So. Hard. To. Order. FOOOOD D;

Right, anyway, wish me all the best when I start flying; let's hope the plane doesn't get taken over by terrorists (touch wood!).

Much love, yo'.

HEROES!
Friday, 14 November 2008 @ 20:40

Oh my gosh: WHY IS IT, EVERYTIME A NICE EPISODE COMES OUT, I'M OVERSEAS? WHY?!

I am utterly annoyed that Heroes Ep 4 - I Am Become Death is coming out the week I'm in Japan. And it will not be showing again any time the next week or the next week or the week after that.

This is so unfair.

-sighs-

To relieve some of my frustration, here are some icons (featuring Sylar/Gabriel G.) to show how unbelievably PWN-SOME Season 3 of Heroes is now. And, I wanted to feed my Sylar-obsession. So there XP

My favourite quote from Heroes is now: "If you told me you're coming, I would have made extra." - Sylar/Gabriel G.

So you had a bad/good day...

Yesterday would have been awesome if not for the fact that MY DAD'S CAR GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT. Thankfully, no one was hurt. But on the downside, now he has to send his car to the repair shop which will probably cost, like, a gazillion dollars. &&, he was gonna sell it in a couple weeks' time so this makes it super unlucky.

T'ch.

In response to Sarah and Xavier's comments on my earlier post, yeah I was extremely angry and pissed. However, my house didn't actually catch fire a la Baudelaire so it's all good.

Okay, now on to the lovely outing I had with Clarine and Shuhan yesterday.

After the traffic police came - which took 25 minutes, I might add -, I quickly hopped on to the LRT capsule from Renjong since - luckily - the accident took place at the intersection near there. The capsule which brought us from Renjong to Sengkand MRT was super-duper-double-anchovy packed with students, JC or Secondary, I don't really know or care. All I know was that they were really noisy, filling up the tiny space with their loud voices chatting in Chinese, communicating from one end to the other. I was crammed up against the door so I didn't have to wedge myself between people which was a real mercy since it would've been really awkward.

The transferring between LRT to MRT was pretty funny. I saw someone who might've been Isaac in dull green shorts running to catch the train with someone who was definitely smaller than him but still a boy. Anyway, got a seat on the MRT and managed to finish The Outsiders on the way to Dhoby Gaut. After that, I found Clarine and Shuhan in Times, looking at cards and laughing at them. Oh my gosh, Clarine's taller than EVER and that's saying something since she's already 165cm+. I felt so short standing next to her x.x

The cool thing was that all of us were wearing black - a real coinkydink (coincidence in GoofySpeak. I swear I'm watching too many cartoons these days.) Walked around for a bit before finally managing to find the arcade and CHEAP! neoprint booths. Their location shall remain a secret to stop rampaging teenagers from benefitting too much from it; you want the address, ask me personally ;P

In the end, we took neoprints from three different booths which cost $17 in all. I think Clarine spent $9 while I spent $8. Shuhan? It was her b'day present from us (: Personally, I felt that the first booth was only okay-ish. The backgrounds were nice and the colours were vibrant so we didn't just throw away $6. The second booth [$4] was quite waste of money since we didn't have enough time to edit and personalize our photos. BUT! What redeems the booth is that the lighting was really good and you wouldn't even know we had acne if you saw the prints. The last and most expensive booth was the best though. $7 for a big couch which can squeeze like, 5 people on it and unlimited time to decorate and edit the photos. I believe we sat there for 45 minutes just playing around with them XD TOTALLY WORTH IT! ((Plus, the camera was still on after we took the photos so we hopped back on to the couch and used it for our own purposes!))

Now, here are some of the neoprints we took. I edited them and added in the polaroid frames.

Haha, I finally managed to get Clarine and Shuhan's second entry in my autograph book. Yay!

Pssst! (What you see in the background is my personal journal. )

Alright, bye now (:

Bloody tr*ckamucka.
@ 23:09

I feel like alternatively screaming and kicking and screaming and kicking and... kicking. Do you know why? Simply because *** decided *** could be so awesome and god-like by leaving the stove on while going out to buy something. Oilllll which, -in case you didn't know - is an accelerant for FIRE. And the guards were about to call the fire department! *** almost burned our house down! And my room smells like sulphuric farts combined with Eau De Smoke and Roast... Human.

Blunderdunder.

stove [turned on] + oxygen= fire
stove [t.o] + oxygen + oil= fire + hot oil

Therefore, stove [t.o] + oxygen + oil + prolonged period of time= burnt pan + smoke + hot oil

I mean, how stupid can *** get? It's bad enough *** steals my bike to use it and takes stuff from me but at least do it without getting caught! Like today, when I came back at 8pm my bike was sitting outside the house gate like nobody's business. MY. BIKE! One that I hadn't even touched in 2 days. Which leads me to think, why the hell would my bike be out there?

Suspiciously enough, *** didn't seem at all surprised that my bike was out there and merely rushed out to bring it back in; this clearly implies that she had been expecting it. From this evidence, my thoughts are edging towards the logical reason that she lent MY bike out to one of her friends, asked them to bring it back and put it outside the gate but didn't expect us to return home so early which is why it wasn't in its proper place.

Who the f*ck is *** to take my stuff?! Not only that, a source who shall remain nameless has also volunteered further evidence against ***, claiming use of various items without permission from its owner. Quite honestly, I'm disgusted. If you want something so bad, why not save up for it? You don't need it that soon, do you?

Eurgh. Bloody bitch((fag))megaturd, idiotic prat.

HAPPY 5TH OF NOVEMBER DARLINGS!
GUY FAWKES' NIGHT!

Remember, remember, the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.

*squee*

So um, I've suddenly noticed this great cosmic coincidence between my and Zachus' ranks in school. Like, for SA1, I was 16th in level while he was 32nd. Multiple of 16, y'see. Then, for overall end-of-year, I'm 6th in level while he's 6th in class. Anyone see the 'pattern'? Or is it merely coincidence? Whatever the case, I still feel kindaaaa bad about it since he had like, 4 A1s & 2 A2s yet he's only 6th in class while I did worse than him and still managed a 1st.

Yeah, this is why you should think twice about entering Catholic High.

Yesterday is a promise that youve broken

This is your life and today is all you've got now
Yeah, and today is all you'll ever have
Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be?
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over.

Why cat-nap?
Sunday, 2 November 2008 @ 16:06

I am tired, exhausted and any other synonym for 'ready to drop'. That's why I'm about to have a nice, necessary nap in a bit, once I post up this entry. Heh. Alliteration.

Anyway, more about why I'm so dead-beat.

Yesterday was horrible. I slept at midnight on Friday and woke up at 5.30am the next morning for the 6.15am All Saints' Day mass at IHM. Surprisingly, I didn't fall asleep at all during mass, considering that I've had no more than 5 hours of sleep per day this past week. Weird.

After the mass, we ate a rather hasty breakfast in Kovan before my dad dropped me off at school for the Marina Barage thing I signed up for. I was almost regretting my decision after an hour since it was raining, muddy and I felt bad for making old people walk further than they should. -Le sigh-

The minute we reached school, dad and mum picked me up at drove me straight to NAFA where I met up with Sarah who lent me her Sum 41 CD [THANK YOU!] and started showing me all her cool music videos of bands like Thousand Foot Krutch and Pillar till art class started. Painted and painted and painted for two hours after that and I still didn't feel it was refined enough but I was so not in the mood to do anything anymore.

Mum met up with me after that and we headed to Suntec to get my winter clothes. Practically every stall was having a sale and I think we walked into most of them. UNFORTUNATELY, when your body is at the stage where nothing quite fits, it's hard to find pretty stuff you can wear so we eventually only bought 3 shirts from Giordano.

On a much happier note, I am now the proud owner of a pwnsome puffy Black leather-looking winter jacket which like, totally kicks ass. I care not what mum thinks.
And did I mention that the DC store there was having 80% off sale? Too bad it was only on weird-looking shirts depicting Superman and Wonderwoman -.=

Right. Off to sleep now, toodles.

Japannnn.

Strangely enough, even though just about everyone I know says it's a great country and they'd love to go, blahblahblah, I really would much prefer America any time, despite the fact that to this day, I've visited Disneyland like, nine times x.x I just.. hate the language barrier, y'know? So. Hard. To. Order. FOOOOD D;

He is TEH-HAWTNESS.

Clarine, Shuhan and anyone who reads this, you need to do this quiz!

GUY FAWKES' NIGHT!

HAHAHAHAHAHA XD

((I'm sorry, I just had to laugh and be all sadist-like cause' I am rarely able to beat Zachus academic-wise.))

This is your Life - Switchfoot
Tuesday, 4 November 2008 @ 11:41

Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that youve broken
Don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you've got now
Yeah, and today is all you'll ever have
Don't close your eyes
Don't close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be?
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over.

I desperately wish something fun or cool had happened today but I shall be honest:

I lazed around my bedroom all day with the air-conditioner on and a laptop on my lap. At around two-ish, I felt bad so I started on the decorations for my cousin's 21st birthday party. However, I only managed to make the Ys, As, Hs and a D. How lazy can I be?
